MAA Institute of Speech and Hearing (MISH) is a premier institution dedicated to the identification, intervention, rehabilitation, and education of individuals with speech and hearing disorders. Established in 2019, MISH operates a unique hospital campus that fosters an inclusive environment with diverse abilities among students and staff. The institute is committed to excellence in both clinical and academic domains, making it a leader in the field.
MISH offers a Bachelor of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) program, a 3-year degree course followed by a 10-month internship. This program is affiliated with Osmania University and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The field of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at MISH focuses on understanding normal communication and hearing processes and applying this knowledge to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of communication disorders in children and adults.
The institute is organized into four key units:
- Audiology: Focuses on hearing evaluations, hearing aids, and rehabilitation.
- Speech Diagnostics: Specializes in the assessment of speech and language disorders.
- Speech Therapy: Provides individualized rehabilitation for speech and language issues.
- Cochlear Implant: Offers advanced diagnostic and post-implant services.
MISH ensures quality education through a structured curriculum and innovative clinical services.
