Speech Language Pathology

Department of Speech Language Pathology

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at MISH specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of speech and language disorders in both pediatric and adult populations. Our team is dedicated to addressing a wide range of communication challenges, and providing tailored interventions to improve the quality of life for individuals.

Speech disorders may involve difficulties in articulating sounds, fluency issues such as stammering, or voice-related problems. These disorders can exist independently or alongside neurological conditions like dysarthria, apraxia, or cerebral palsy. Our comprehensive approach ensures accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans for every patient.

Language disorders may arise from various causes. In adults, they are often the result of neurological events such as strokes, head injuries, or age-related changes. In children, language delays or deviations may occur independently or in association with conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorders, cerebral palsy, or hearing impairments.
